What you'll do
Looking for fun indoor activities? Explore the wonderful world of resin art with Monika Pawsey at this short and intimate introduction to resin casting.
In this online class, you'll learn how to make stunning resin jewellery pieces from the comfort of your home.
We will send you a kit with all the needed materials you need, and in just two hours, your friendly teacher will guide you, step by step, on how to work with resin while giving you some background information on the medium.
By the end of this fun and intimate online session, you not only have decorated a beautiful piece with resin but also have learnt skills that you can use repeatedly to make your own DIY projects!

Knowledge required
Beginner-friendly. We have designed this online resin casting introduction workshop for everyone curious about working with resin. However, this course is not suitable for pregnant women or anyone under 16 years.
What you'll get in your craft kit
- 1x resin
- 5 x pigments - variety of colours
- 2 x 100 ml mixing cups
- 1 x jewellery silicone mould minimum 10 shapes
- 1 x white tile to coat
- 1 x pair of nitrile gloves
- 1 x table cover sheet
- 5 x plastic cups
- 10 x mixing sticks
What you'll need
- A vapour mask, available from hardware stores. If you feel concerned about the exposure to the resin vapour, please discuss it with your GP before attending the workshop.
- Apron to protect your clothes
- An object/surface to coat with resin
- Please wear closed-toe shoes
- Please have a look at the safety sheet about working with resin and the short safety video sent with your enrolment confirmation.

Monika is a resin artist and tutor who lives in Sydney. Her resin journey began in 2011 after attending Jewellery and homewares workshops at the Sydney Community College.
Monika has been passionate about all aspects of the Visual Arts since high school.. Resin provides flexibility and artistic opportunities and the expression of individuality with the creation of a range of art pieces that are unique and, quirky. As a resin tutor she often sees how people who don’t think they are creative, produce some stunning work.
Monika also established Olli Designs in 2012 when she began selling her resin pieces at art and craft markets, and through family and friends.

This is a good class for introduction to resin art casting at home the kit had everything needed.

No problem with the teacher but There was an issue with camera so difficult to see what she was doing, and I don’t think she could see what we were doing. I enjoyed it though, mostly because it was invigorating to do something different in lockdown. My kit arrived an hour before class started…that is also no one’s fault…I think it is great you are offering these courses on line
