Seasoned chef, Luca Favorito, is passionate about sharing his culinary values, cooking knowledge and love for authentic Italian soul food with like-minded individuals and fellow foodies.
Since childhood, Luca has been fascinated by the process of creating home-cooked meals and picked up plenty of secrets stretching and shaping hand-made pasta with his mother and grandmother in the kitchen. These special family moments sharing jokes, strengthening bonds and creating memories inspired Luca to begin his journey into the flavourful world of cooking!
After discovering the sense of achievement that comes from preparing a meal from scratch, he launched his own culinary school, Cook with Luca. Nowadays, Luca can be found in the kitchen, spreading his belief that cooking engages the senses, elevates spirits and brings people together.

Feel in my zone. I clear my mind from negative thoughts and worries. It makes me feel connected to other people as cooking for them or helping them cook makes me feel like I care for them. Seeing someone else enjoy, appreciate and value my cooking gives me so much satisfaction and gratitude.
Teaching others has taught me…
To be patient and respectful of other people’s space and time. But also to set an alarm every time we bake so we don’t get too distracted by the conversation!

This year I’m grateful for…
All of the new people I have met that taught me something new and made me see life from a different perspective. They reminded me to be strong and determined even in difficult times. I am very grateful to have all of my senses, to be able to see the colours of nature, hear my favourite music, touch the hands of my loved ones, smell perfumes, and taste the flavours of my dishes!
