Mandala Painting in Acrylics

Mandalas are a journey within. They are calming and help release emotions.



3 x 3 hours Class size 1 to 8

The course starts with the basics. You will get an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of drawing up a mandala. You will be able to individually create your own mandalas with the use of patterns supplied. You may also bring along any images or patterns you wish to use. You will learn the techniques of painting, blending, and understanding the use of colours, the use of brushes, and how to care for them.

This course is aimed at those with a basic understanding of painting and design, but even the complete beginner will come away feeling more confident in their painting and design skills.

This course is ongoing, so after you finish your 3 weeks, you are welcome to stay on and paint anything of your choice.

What to bring
2B, 4B, large metal ruler (Bunnings has them 2 in a pack), 2 x gel pens fine point (white & gold), brush kit, canvas (14" x 14"), acrylic paints (Matisse is a good brand).
 
Session repeats

This class series runs over 3 consecutive sessions, at the same time every 3 weeks.

Your teacher

I am an artist who teaches art because I love to share knowledge to help people learn and improve their skills.
I have been teaching at Artisans of Australia for the past 4+ years, unfortunately I moved and need to start afresh.

I teach Acrylics, Palette Knife Techniques, Drawing face, Portraits, Mandalas, mixed media, coloured pencil, pastels.
I can teach you to paint just about anything, landscape, building, animals, people what every you choose.

I mostly love to teach techniques, brush work, how to care for your brushes. Written information is given to help you understand the process.
