Palette Knife Painting Technique

Explore the art of palette knife painting, many ways you can utilise your palette knife in your artwork.



3 x 3 hours Class size 1 to 8

The course starts with the basics. You will get an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals using a palette knife to create interesting effects in your art.

You will learn the basics, as well as incorporating brushwork, the use of brushes, blending, learning about lights and darks, and how to make your art pop.

You have a choice of what you want to paint - bring an image or choose one of ours.

Anyone can join this class; no art experience needed.

This course is ongoing, so after you finish your 3 weeks, you are welcome to stay on and paint anything of your choice.

What to bring
Canvas (14" x 14"), brush kit, palette knife, paints, apron, hand towel, 2B pencil, notebook, eraser.

This class series runs over 3 consecutive sessions, at the same time every 3 weeks.

Your teacher

I am an artist who teaches art because I love to share knowledge to help people learn and improve their skills.
I have been teaching at Artisans of Australia for the past 4+ years, unfortunately I moved and need to start afresh.

I teach Acrylics, Palette Knife Techniques, Drawing face, Portraits, Mandalas, mixed media, coloured pencil, pastels.
I can teach you to paint just about anything, landscape, building, animals, people what every you choose.

I mostly love to teach techniques, brush work, how to care for your brushes. Written information is given to help you understand the process.
