Tammy de Zilva is a Surface Pattern Designer behind her business Loopla – a Brisbane based business creating vibrant and playful designs with striking and eye-catching colourways which are often inspired by the vintage retro vibe of the seventies. Behind each lovingly created pattern is inspiration drawn from nature, everyday encounters, play with her son and her extensive travels.
The first 20 years of Tammy’s career was in IT. After completing some studies in colour, design and surface design, she took a career change into Surface Design and hasn’t looked back. She won two awards during her studies – Porters Paints wallpaper design award and a Highly Commended award. Her biggest goal is to bring joy to others with her art. Most recently, Tammy has been featured in the book Pattern Pulse amongst 100 of Australia’s top Surface Design talent.
