This Qigong term offers a space to slow down, reconnect, and cultivate greater balance within both body and mind through learning regular practice of traditional Qigong.
In a world where many people spend much of their time overstimulated, stressed, fatigued, or disconnected from their bodies, Qigong provides a practical and restorative pathway back to presence, vitality, and ease. Through gentle flowing movements, breathwork, posture awareness, and meditative practices, students often begin to notice improvements in energy, mobility, sleep, emotional regulation, mental clarity, and overall wellbeing.
This term will focus on the Guigen forms and 6 healing sounds, taught progressively across the weeks, allowing students to gradually build confidence, deepen their understanding, and the option to develop a home practice. Classes are designed to be welcoming and accessible for beginners while still offering depth and refinement for continuing students.
Alongside learning the movements themselves, students are introduced to the underlying principles of Classical Chinese Medicine and the philosophy that informs Qigong practice. Emphasis is placed on proper form, technique, and deepened concentration as the term progresses. Each session supports the circulation and harmonisation of Qi throughout the body, helping to release accumulated tension, improve mobility and posture, calm the nervous system, and cultivate a greater sense of ease and clarity.
Many people are drawn to Qigong when they begin to notice the effects of chronic stress, fatigue, tension, poor sleep, low energy, emotional overwhelm, or feeling disconnected from their bodies. Through regular practice, Qigong offers a practical pathway towards feeling more settled, energised, emotionally balanced, and present. It not only supports physical health, but also creates more space for calmness, grounding, clarity, and connection in daily life.
Whether you are completely new to Qigong or returning to deepen an existing practice, this term offers an opportunity to step out of autopilot and reconnect with yourself in a meaningful and supportive way.

Qigong forms: What forms will we be learning?
You will learn the popular Guigen Qigong forms and the 6 Healing Sounds. These forms are accessible to people of all body types and can be easily adapted for those with injuries or movement restrictions.

What you'll get
8 relaxing and enjoyable classes of learning Qigong. Class will begin with standing meditation, then our main Qigong forms for the night, followed by standing meditation at the end.
Knowledge required
No prior knowledge or experience is required.
What to bring
Loose-fitting clothes, a bottle of water, and a yoga mat.
Session repeats

This experience series runs over 8 consecutive sessions, at the same time every week.

This venue is a short walk from Sutherland station (300m) and is located upstairs in the Eton Arcade.

Your host can also travel within 30 kms of Sutherland, to a venue of your choice for a private experience.

Adam Wiltshire

Adam Wiltshire is the founder and principal teacher of Dragonfly Qigong and has been offering Qigong classes across Sydney for 7 years. He has trained with master teachers from around the world and teaches 7 different traditional styles of Qigong forms that include a mix of Medical Qigong and Taoist Medical Qigong. All the styles that Adam teaches are based on the theoretical framework of either Traditional Chinese Medicine or Classical Chinese Medicine and come from a long lineage of teachers. Adam is also a practicing counsellor and psychotherapist which informs his approach to teaching Qigong in being trauma-informed and emotionally attuned to the healing potential of the body.
