Resin Night Light Workshop: Sip Lightly

Building on the theme of paint and sip style workshops, our Sip Lightly event is for anyone who wants to try something creative in a social setting. We have designed this workshop especially so that you don’t have to be particularly artistic to make your own resin night light and have an enjoyable and relaxed evening.

Sip Lightly will be hosted at range of restaurants/bars around Brisbane. There will be a gourmet menu to purchase from as you please. The menu will vary depending on the hosting venue.

What’s included:

• Everything you need to build your lamp, including the base and LED light. Your piece will be demoulded when you come to collect it, so all you will have to do is set up the base and your lamp will be ready to use.
• A drink on arrival is included, plus you have a gourmet menu to purchase from.

In this two hour workshop, you will learn how to do quite a lot! Setting the items in a frame is quite fun and doesn’t take long, plus we provide a UV curing resin that activates in a few seconds to help with items that are a bit tricky to hold in place.

Can you go out afterwards or will you be all sticky and gross? Resin isn’t particularly messy. You will be using tweezers to arrange items, plus gloves are provided. Small amounts of resin clean off your hands easily with soap and water.

Please note: Your piece can be picked up approximately 1-2 weeks following the workshop, but check with us to see if the resin has reached its total hardness before it can be demoulded and sanded.

We don’t refund or reschedule if you find yourself rostered to work, or similar, on your course date. It is the responsibility of the attendee to clear your schedule before a booking is made. Some people do have jobs where they can’t know what they are doing months in advance, and if this is the case, please call us and we’ll see what we can do to help you.

• A resin lamp sized 8 x 20 x 4cm with an LED colour-changing light base.
• All materials are included.

Can bring your own items to set in the resin but some items may require more preparation than we will have time for. Also, please consider the size, coins and small shells are fine. If you are unsure, bring it anyway and we will be able to advise you on how you can prepare it for use in a future project if you can't use it on the day.
