What you'll do

Do you find yourself wanting to sew certain patterns but feel worried about tackling certain aspects of the pattern? Join our Commercial Pattern Support Class and receive expert advice and assistance from our wonderful teachers. This class offers hands-on support tailored to your individual needs in a small group setting.

Designed for those who have completed our Sewing For Beginners, Introduction To Garment Making, and Dressmaking classes, or for those who have equivalent sewing experience elsewhere. You should have recently completed two garments following commercial patterns to attend this class.

Under the guidance of our experienced instructor, you'll receive expert assistance as you work through your chosen commercial sewing pattern. From understanding pattern instructions to troubleshooting fit issues, our instructor will be there to help. With full access to our studio's sewing tools, machines, and equipment.

Knowledge required

Participants need to have made at least two garments following commercial patterns before attending this class. We recommend enrolling in the below three classes if you have no previous sewing experience:

The above three sessions will get you from beginner stages to an intermediate level of sewing.

What you'll get

What to bring

You'll need to bring your sewing project along with you, whether that's a pattern that hasn't been cut yet, or a half-finished garment, bring it along and we'll help you! If you're planning to cut your pattern and fabric during this session, please remember to bring both the pattern and fabric.

Our story began in 2018 in a small Redfern studio. With only one desk and one sewing machine, our first class was published and we haven't looked back. Our passion for the arts coupled with bringing people together, brought our vision of launching a creative hub to life.

In our modern world, everything moves quickly, we have adapted to a fast-paced environment and sometimes it can be hard to slow ourselves down. Sydney Creative is a place for people to relax, regroup and find a creative outlet that will hopefully aid in bringing people a sense of achievement, fulfilment and joy.

Today, our classes run from our own venue in Redfern. We run lots of different creative classes from Sewing to Jewellery, painting and lots more, we love following the trends and developing new classes for our customers to enjoy.
