A sharp tool is a dangerous tool; a blunt tool is a more dangerous tool & there is no more essential skill as a craftsperson than the ability to sharpen your tools. However, achieving a consistent edge is often given little attention.

Yet, there is no great mystery in achieving a razor-sharp edge. With just some theory and practice, you can learn a systematic approach that can gain a consistent razor-sharp edge that you can replicate the same system in your workshop.

This is your opportunity to bring in your own chisels, bench planes, block planes, drawknives, scorps, sloyds, and marking knives and discover the joy that can only come from working with sharp tools.

Classes include all tools, materials, patterns, expert tuition and all-day tea & coffee. For your convenience, classes are held at various venues across Gippsland. Private tuition can be undertaken at your chosen location from the comfort of your home or at our workshop.
