A warm and friendly setting, I felt comfortable and at home and met some wonderful fellow crafters.

Melissa was lovely! She went through all the tasting yarns, and then the yarn pack she sent home with us. She also took the time to talk about herself and her craft. It was awesome getting to know her.

She also went above and beyond to get me a gluten free lamington.

Thank you so much, Melissa!

Mel is a terrific and extremely patient teacher. The yarn was supplied and beautiful. An instruction template was also provided. The experience was fantastic value for money and I enjoyed learning techniques that I would not have otherwise learnt. Nauti Studios is a light filled and fun environment. Street parking is readily available on weekends and you can always purchase equipment (needles etc) from the store itself. A thoroughly enjoyable two afternoons!

I love the yarn tasting class! Mel has a beautiful cosy space and is an absolutely lovely host who is incredibly generous with her knowledge and expertise on all things fibre!

Mel had the pattern and yarn all ready to go!
We were explained the anatomy of socks (which made them easier to understand)
There was ample time for questions and one on one tuition if we ran into tricky bits

As this was run over two weeks, time to think about the sock as we were doing homework was appreciated (the second date couldn't come fast enough!)

I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to branch out to sock knitting (or even if you wanted to brush up on your sock knitting skills) :)

Love the quality of the supplied yarn. Provided pattern was well organised. Mel explained techniques in an easily digestible manner, so I was able to wrap my head around things after a couple of attempts.

Mel is a great teacher. She explained how to knit the sock on different types of needles, how to measure your foot and how to alter your socks to fit your foot to ankle ratio if needed. I feel like I have the knowledge needed to get into more complicated sock knitting on my own. The gorgeous hand dyed yarn included in the class is a great bonus. Would highly recommend.

Three Cats Yarn has superior sock knowledge.

If you want to make socks Mel of Three Cats Yarn will show you how. The pattern we used is 'Simple Top Down Socks' by Melissa Paisley on Ravelry. This pattern is a synthesis of Mel's extensive knitting sock know-how. The Nest Creative Space is a comfortable venue with snacks and hot beverages available. The Three Cats Yarn used in the workshop to start the socks was great, the change in colour helped to show where the stitches are. The workshop was good value for money and so enjoyable. I liked the most how Mel graciously answered all questions, however daft! During the workshop there were sample of partly knitted socks to show you what to do. Mel had instructions for all the different sock knitting needle methods. A very comprehensive class starting with how to do the German twisted cast on, heel flaps, short rows and Kitchener stitch cast off. The best place to learn how to do a sock.
