3 hours Class size 1 on 1

Soy sauce, miso, seaweed, sake, rice vinegar, sesame and tea: according to Australian-Japanese food writer, photographer and award-winning cookbook author Emiko Davies, these are the foundations of Japanese home cooking.
With these staples in your pantry, and fresh seafood to hand, you can cook hundreds of dishes found in homes throughout Japan, and with Emiko’s book, 'The Japanese Pantry', in hand, you can also discover the stories behind the ingredients.
In this Japanese cooking class, Emiko will take you through these foundation ingredients, working them into recipes such as Kabayaki Sardines, Tuna with Miso Vinegar, Miso Mackerel and Ricotta and Sake Lees Cheesecake.
Join Emiko to delve into The Japanese Pantry and discover tradition, simplicity and the joy of cooking with intention.
