  • 5/5 from Daniel Cunningham, attended Jun 2026: I went into this class (french red menu) already having a reasonable understanding of home cooking, but I was genuinely surprised by how much I learned. The chef paul was exceptionally charismatic, incredibly patient, and explained concepts in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. What stood out most was the countless practical tips and techniques that I know I'll actually use in my day-to-day cooking. It wasn't just about following recipes—it changed the way I think about food, ingredients, and the cooking process as a whole. This was far more than just a cooking class; it was a culinary experience that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I honestly don't think I'll ever look at food the same way again. Highly recommended. I will be back for many many more such classes!
  • 5/5 from Stephen, attended Jun 2026: This is our second French cooking class at Sydney Cooking School. What a wonderful experience! The tuition was excellent with plenty of time to prepare each step of the menu. Paul, our instucting chef for the evening was very friendly, very informative and, clearly, a great cook! Of course, the highlight of the evening is eating a superb 3 course meal with a beautiful glass of wine. We had a great night - thanks so much. We will be back!!

  • 5/5 from Matthew Parkes, attended May 2026: This was a small annd excellent group of people led by Chef Paul. It was a well oiled machine in that it ran perfectly, everything was highly organised, and timed well. The food was delicious and even as an avid cook with huge foodie/hospo background, I learned a lot! A great couples evening out with gorgeous food! Thank you!

The teacher’s attention to detail and thoughtful care made the whole experience a valuable learning opportunity.
  • 5/5 from Jonathan Emery, attended May 2026: This is my third time with the cooking class previously doing desert and curries. Great mix of technical information, basic cooking skills, quality food and fun. For a similar cost much more enjoyable than just going out for a meal. Was a great experience to share with my daughter.
  • 4/5 from John Hutchinson, attended May 2026: You can watch YouTube videos on how to cook but actually doing it yourself is so much more worthwhile. Brett was an excellent teacher packing a lot into two hours with tips on the good shortcuts they take in restaurants – and also on some of the not so good ones to avoid!

I liked that we didn’t have to do too much work as cooking everything can be tiring. Some stuff was prepared and that was good for me because I’m not an experienced cook. Learnt some really valuable info that explained lots of my unanswered questions about things I didn’t think to ask about. The Food was so yummy! I was impressed with my cooking

He spent time explaining different processes and experiences that were not necessarily part of the class. He was highly organised and supportive for all participants. We highly enjoyed the exp.
  • 5/5 from Brandon Bear, attended Oct 2024: The class was fu, informative and relaxed. The end result was delicious. I went as someone who loves cooking, and took my partner who is not the best cook (to put it mildly) and both of us really enjoyed the class.
  • 5/5 from Linda McFarlane, attended Oct 2024: The French class was so well organised, every step was explained really well and I left keen to try these recipes at home. The teacher anticipated questions and this kept the flow going. The food was delicious and we had a fun morning. The only negative (really very minor) was that the stools were hard to get onto for shorter legged people and were just a tad bit too high. I will be back for more classes!!
  • 2/5 from Alex Chong, attended Oct 2024: the instructor was rude to us the whole experience was too rush my figner got cut because of this
  • 5/5 from Edgar Adams, attended Sep 2024: We had a fantastic time. Great experience and learned a lot. Chef Brett was excellent
  • 5/5 from Sally Lim, attended Aug 2024: Teacher was friendly and easy going. I enjoyed the stories he told us about his experience when working in France — especially the one about ordering a huge fish accidentally. Materials were good and efficient. The most I like was I didn’t have to do the dishes, fun to do new things and everything was delicious. I would have loved to do more of the cooking but I guess it could be challenging to coordinate?
  • 5/5 from Beverley Misionare, attended Jul 2024: Location of the place was good there is a pub across the road if you wanted to have some drinks after a nice cooked meal. Parking wasn't the best but there are heaps of off streets to look down. My first cooking class I have ever done, wanted to try a cuisine that I was not familiar with (French) I will admit that my expectations were low. I wasn't sure I was going to like the menu as much, however 3 plates clean it was so delicious! Everything was provided and it wasn't as hard as you would think. Teacher was funny and the class overall was good vibes. They also offered some wine with our dinner. Will def book again! you should too!
  • 5/5 from Lucas Edward Brayovic, attended Jul 2024: Amazing chef. Amazing food. Great instructions and overall I had a great time. Bon appetite
  • 5/5 from James Le Faucheur, attended Jun 2024: Fantastic class. Great techniques, complementary menu choices, and teaching. Definitely attending more in the future
  • 5/5 from Barbie and Tata, attended Jun 2024: Delicious food and a wonderful teacher. I’m ever imagined how easy cooking soufflé and fondant could be. Finished with lunch and a glass of wine. Very highly recommended
  • 5/5 from Jo-Anne Ho, attended May 2024: This was a fun and enjoyable cooking class. The food was delicious. Chef Paul was patient and encouraging and shared lots of cooking tips. Will definitely try this menu at home. The best part was not having to do any washing up!
  • 5/5 from Angelica Gatis, attended May 2024: Really amazing class, delicious food, really helpful teacher that guided us through the process, would recommend
  • 5/5 from Matthew Jackson, attended May 2024: Took my father here for his birthday. He is not a cook and his only charge in the house is the occasional bbq (with people telling him when to take things off). That doesn't mean he doesn't want to learn. I gave him 4 class options for his birthday and he picked this one. The class was interactive, with everyone participating as a pair, we learnt lots and ate a lot! After the class we were given the recipes on a QR code. The feedback from my dad was this was one of the most fun things he has done in a long while so thank you so much!
  • 5/5 from Victoria Jenkins, attended Apr 2024: The class was fantastic, and Brett, our teacher, was very thorough in explaining the traditional french restaurant expectations for certain dishes.
  • 5/5 from Ron Zhou, attended Apr 2024: Great class. Loved the small class sizes. Paul was very clear, patient and very charming. I had a great time and would definitely recommend to friends/return
