I am a Certified Nerikiri Teacher, dedicated to sharing the Japanese spirit of harmony through the art of wagashi.
I was born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. When I was young, I didn’t pay much attention to wagashi, our traditional Japanese confectionery. However, after spending many years in Sydney, Australia, I began to look back on my culture with fresh eyes.
As I learned more, I became deeply inspired by how Japanese artists capture the delicate beauty of each season through wagashi, often paired with a bowl of Matcha. These creations are more than sweets — they are meditative experiences, inviting us to pause, reflect, and find harmony.
Through my journey, I have come to see wagashi as an expression of mindfulness, seasonal beauty, and Japanese aesthetics. Now, I wish to share this spirit of harmony with the world — one sweet moment at a time.
