Join Shahn from Soo Good Soapery for this artisan soap making class in Box Hill and learn how to make your own natural, skin-nourishing soap loaves. These vegan-friendly artisanal soaps are good for you, good for the earth and so much fun to create!

During the class, you will learn how to make soap using the cold process method. Discover how to work safely with lye, how to mix your ingredients and how to incorporate aromatic essential oil blends and beautiful botanicals. You'll have access to a wide array of high-quality ingredients and essential oils, allowing you to customize your soap with delightful scents and beautiful colours. As you mix and pour your ingredients, you'll feel a sense of joy and creativity that comes from making something truly unique with your own hands.

The best part about making your own soap is that you know exactly what goes into your soap and onto your skin. The cold process method preserves the therapeutic properties of the essential oils, making it a perfect addition to your daily routine or a beautiful gift for your loved ones.

By the end of the class, you'll not only have learned the secrets of soap making but also have a collection of exquisite soaps to take home and enjoy or gift to friends and loved ones. Get ready to unleash your inner soap maker and create beautiful, all-natural soaps that are both functional and artistic.

Once you understand the principles of cold process soap making, you will be able to continue making your own soap at home using premium silicone moulds that we will give you to take home!

Please note: Your soap will need to cure for one to three days in the mould that you will take home with you before cutting it into bars. It will continue to cure and harden for a further four to six weeks.

Please also note that all add ons and selections are subject to availability and are not guaranteed unless ordered at least 2 weeks prior to the class.

Want to come as a couple or bring a friend or as a mum/dad and child? We offer reduced price for this on the basis that you are creating together as one. Soo Good Soapery is a 15 year old small home-based Australian business that specializes in the creation of high quality handmade soaps, cosmetics and home fragrance.

My name is Shahn and I am the owner, creater and teacher here at Soo Good Soapery. The decision and vision to create a business that prides itself in providing its customers with exceptional quality and simple but organic ingredient products that are good for you started on my first trip to Nelson Bay NSW with my mumma dearest. I absolutely fell in love with an artisan soap that was being sold at the market. Mum brought me a bar. After using the soap, I immediately noticed how superior Artisan Soap was compared to the mass produced soap available at the supermarkets.

So in 2008, with a heap of fear but a lot of eagerness I attended my first Artisan Soap making class and wow, I was immediately hooked.

2 long years passed whilst I was attending every artisan soap making class I could find, spending my spare time reading everything I could on soaping and although I had plenty of failures I also had a new found fondness of the science involved with creating. In 2017 I sold my first soap bar and received amazing feedback and it was in that moment that Soo Good Soapery was born.

Today, my passion for soap making has continued to grow. I now offer bottled liquid soaps and smooth luxury whipped soaps that are full of goodness with NO added nasty's. Sourcing at least 90% of my ingredients from home grown small Australian family run businesses.

But it doesn't stop there. I also want to share my passion for soap making and bring handmade artisan soup workshops to you!
