Floristry Courses Sydney
Floristry for beginners
If you’ve ever tried flower arranging at home, you probably learned pretty quickly that there’s much more to floral arrangements than simply placing flowers in a vase. Professional flower arranging has been around for centuries in many different cultures. Japanese flower arrangements look quite different from European styles, and South American floristry has a whole different perspective. On top of that, each region of the world brings its own native flowers and fauna to create gorgeous and unique flower arrangements. It’s this diversity of floristry practices that makes learning more about this is art so exciting, which is why we have the best floristry classes in Sydney for you to explore.
With a wide range of styles and techniques to dive into, heading to one of our courses in floristry will have you learning from the very best in Sydney. Find out about the tricks of the trade - learn about how best to combine colours, textures and patterns, how to support more fragile flowers, how to make ordinary flowers look extraordinary, which vases to use, where to get your flowers, about the history of flower arranging in different cultures, and much more. For those planning team activities, our flower arranging for team building workshops are a fantastic way to spark creativity and connection.
Trying out the many different floristry classes in your area is one of the most fun things to do in Sydney. Our classes are perfect for beginners, with all materials and instructions provided. We purposely keep class sizes small, to ensure that you get enough one-on-one attention from the teacher, and to ensure that you have a nice relaxing experience. In our teachers' tranquil workshops, you'll feel refreshed, inspired and creative. There are floristry courses that cover the fundamentals like florist supplies and basic composition. Or, you might try your hand at Japanese flower arrangements in an Ikebana floral workshop. You can also learn how to make bouquets, flower crowns, or centrepieces in other fun floristry courses. No matter what kind of floristry you’re interested in, there’s a floral workshop for you to try.
What to expect at Sydney floristry courses
For those who have already done a workshop before, we've got a wide variety of floristry styles to choose from, so you can experience something new. Try Japanese Ikebana style floral design, or opt for a European or modern style. Arrange for vases, bouquets, baskets, or even a stunning flower wreath. There's a course to suit every preference and every budget. For those among us who are more experienced, many of our teachers also offer more advanced classes - just contact them to arrange a custom workshop.
Flowers are so beneficial to mental health, which makes floristry classes ideal for any group you can think of. If you and your group of girls are looking for creative things to do in Sydney at night, floristry classes will fit right into your schedule. They’re also some of the most romantic things to do in Sydney for couples who would rather make bouquets than simply buy them. And if you’re looking for a wonderful mother-daughter outing for Christmas ideas, this is one of the loveliest indoor activities Sydney has to offer. Whether it's rainy outside, ridiculously hot, or if it's perfect weather, our flower arranging courses will keep you comfortable, engaged and smiling.
Go solo, with your other half, with some girlfriends, as a reward for mum, or as part of a hen's party or birthday celebration. Flowers are not just for girls - we've had plenty of masculine men in our classes (by themselves or with their partners) and they've absolutely loved the experience. The audiences who love our flower arranging classes are as diverse as the flowers we use in them! By making floristry classes more affordable, we can spread the love for flowers further throughout our communities, as well as facilitate cultural exchange and meaningful social interactions.
We're proud to have Sydney's most highly-rated floristry classes, all thanks to our talented and passionate teachers. Your floristry class will walk you through everything you need to know to create stunning works of art at home. With the guidance of your talented floristry teacher, you’ll develop a better eye for things like balance and colour. And, you’ll feel more confident to experiment and keep trying on your own. Once you’ve taken a fun floristry class, we can bet that your home will never be empty of flowers again!
Floristry is great for your wellbeing
