With your newfound knowledge and confidence with all things flora, you’ll want to keep expanding your plant-based knowledge and working on your favourite new hobby long after the class is over. And with new flowers and plants workshops being offered all the time, you’ll never have to look up “fun things to do in Sydney this weekend” again.

Floristry classes in Sydney

Floristry classes are wonderful for anyone who loves to have a fresh bouquet or decorate with a wreath around the house. With floristry courses, you’ll learn how to make the perfect floral arrangement for any special occasion, and don’t be surprised if your friends and loved ones start asking you to arrange bouquets for their upcoming birthdays and bridal showers! There are also fun flower wreaths classes in which you can make your own Christmas wreath or everyday dried flower wreaths. And if you’re looking for something even more mindfulness-based, you can opt for a fun Ikebana flower arrangement class!

Terrarium classes in Sydney

Terrarium workshops are fun for those who are skilled at plant care and those who can’t seem to keep their houseplants alive. Terrariums are self-sustaining, so all you need to do is put the terrarium together and this amazing mini ecosystem will do the rest. From succulent terrariums to moss terrariums, closed terrariums to hanging DIY terrariums, you’ll learn how to make these delightful plant worlds for all of your friends and family. This is a houseplant that you can enjoy for years, whether or not you’re able to keep your other house plants alive! And they’re so beautiful, they’ll make your home look trendy and chic.

Kokedama classes in Sydney

A Kokedama class will teach you all about the mindfulness-based practice of the Japanese moss ball plant. These intriguing plant formations consist of a Kokedama ball that can either be suspended or placed in a decorative plant holder and a range of gorgeous Kokedama plants. Instead of buying one of these gravity-defying plants from a garden shop, this is your chance to get your hands dirty and make your very own Japanese moss ball. You’ll learn the best plants for Kokedama and best practices for how to care for this beautiful plant once you take it home.

Gardening classes in Sydney

Learning how to garden is an invaluable skill. When you learn how to make a garden bed, how to follow a growing chart, and perhaps even how to harvest your own foods, you foster a connection to nature that will boost your mood and fill you with pride. Gardening courses are some of the best family-friendly things to do in Sydney with kids, in which you’ll learn how to grow herbs, how to look after succulents or other useful gardening skills. Bonsai classes are also popular gardening classes for you to try! If you want a relaxing and rewarding hobby, learning how to make a Bonsai is a great idea.

Health benefits of floristry

Giving yourself the space to learn more about the natural world around you is bound to provide you with an array of health benefits. You’ll feel calmer. You’ll practice gratitude. And you’ll rekindle a connection with nature that makes you feel grounded and self-aware. Flowers and plants classes are a lovely way to tend to our own health and wellbeing.
