Your teacher, Cara will guide you through the techniques required to build your own large vessel. Starting with a pinch pot to help you get a feel for the clay, then moving on to create slabs and flat coils to begin building your masterpiece.
The best part about these techniques is they can be applied to any type of hand building project you may want to tackle.
This means that when you leave this class, you can take home your ceramic pieces, as well as newfound skills to continue this creative hobby at home!
Please note: If you don't pick up your pieces, they will stay for only three months and then will be recycled.

I am Cara, a self taught ceramicist based in Melbourne.
I took my first pottery class 5 years ago and was instantly hooked. Soon after, I opened my own studio space to dedicate as much time as possible to my craft. The inspiration I draw from this raw material provides endless creativity and I love sharing my passion with others.
My studio is warm and inviting, the perfect place to get creative and messy! It's a space for exploration and discovery for me and artists around me. I aim to create ceramic pieces that are kept and shared, gather memories and bare the markings of use and age.
