What you'll do
Join artist Stacey Maroney in this beginner-friendly, fun course, where she will support you in your creation of a realistic coloured pencil portrait.
Based on the incredible photography of Lee Jefferies, these portraits are of subjects that have a lot of character and emotion in their faces.
This is a five week course to be held fortnightly. Each session will be based on a different portrait and focus on different features, skin tones, eye colours etc.
You are more than welcome to attend casually if you wish. The plan for the five week course is flexible. Stacey allows students to work at your own pace and to receive individual guidance as needed.
At the end of this intensive course, you would have created realistic portraits to take home, as well as some new basic drawing skills!
Please note: For those who are booking in for the full five week course, you only need to book for the first date on July 30th. Then you will be automatically booked in for the following four sessions which occur fortnightly.

I’m a qualified primary school teacher, stay-at-home mum, artist and art teacher. I’ve been teaching children’s and adults art classes for around five years now and I love it!
I love to encourage people to explore their creativity and very passionately believe in art for mental health.
My adult classes focus on drawing in coloured pencils as this is my main area of expertise!
