  • 5/5 from Lea Smith, attended Jun 2026: We attended Yoshiko’s Japanese Izakaya Cooking Class with my mother as a Mother’s Day gift, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Yoshiko herself was wildly entertaining, warm and incredibly informative. We enjoyed every minute and came away having learned a lot about Japanese cooking, ingredient selection and how to bring those flavours together at home. The venue, Radio Cairo Restaurant, was welcoming and comfortable, and the small group setting made the whole class feel cosy, lighthearted and personal. Every dish was enjoyable, but the Agedashi dofu was definitely the crowd favourite. A fantastic class, full of great food, laughter and practical knowledge. Highly recommended.
  • 5/5 from Tania Wilson, attended Mar 2026: Loved the recipes, the end product and the abolsutely effervescent way Yashiko delivers her classes. All participants had a great time with lots of laughter and learning.
  • 5/5 from Fifa Riccobono, attended May 2025: I thoroughly enjoyed today’s cooking class. We learned quite a lot from the basic ‘how to cook rice properly’ to ‘agadashi tofu’ which is my favourite Japanese dish. The class is always great fun and I want to thank Yoshiko and her team for an entertaining snd informative cooking class.
  • 5/5 from Josephine H Combe, attended Sep 2024: I had a great time at Yoshiko's Japanese cooking class. She is so knowledgeable and makes everything seem so easy! I also love the way she is strict about using high quality ingredients and relates the ingredients back to the health benefits we get form eating such delicious food. Also very hands on and practical, lovely helpers too! I can't wait to try out my new Japanese recipe's. Thank you Yoshiko :)
  • 5/5 from Victoria Angel, attended Mar 2024: An informative and fun class. Yoshiko is full of energy and skill. The food turned out delicious!
  • 5/5 from Tracey Wakeford, attended Mar 2024: Yoshiko is amazing, she teaches with a great sense of humour and shares her years of knowledge with each class. It was fabulous to sit down at the end and eat what we made in class, the food was delicious! I absolutely loved the class today and can’t wait to try all the recipes at home. Thank you, Yoshiko for a great class.
  • 5/5 from Petra Mueller, attended Jul 2023: I love these classes! Yoshiko teaches really well and she makes the class really fun. Food is delicious this has been my second class with her.

  • 5/5 from Jacqui Matthews, attended Jul 2022: The cooking class was very enjoyable. This was enhanced by Yoshiko’s ability to connect and involve everyone in the class. Although the venue was probably a little too small, the experience was fantastic, food delicious and Yoshiko’s little cooking tips/cheats will be noted forever.
  • 4/5 from Patricia Walters, attended Jul 2022: Teacher excellent. Venue a bit cramped. Good variety of dishes but too much for me to eat! Thanks for all the tips.
  • 5/5 from Vickie Kucka, attended Feb 2022: Class was very good. Class helpers were very caring and helpful. Good thing our class was only half full. I would not have enjoyed it with 20 + people in attendance, in these times.
  • 4/5 from John Kam, attended Feb 2022: What was the teacher like? Abusive, haha. No, seriously, she was entertaining. How was the venue? Not bad. If materials were provided, did you like them? I will print them out. Was the class good value for money? Not bad. What did you do / learn? Good quality vegan food.
  • 5/5 from Mia Ferreira, attended Mar 2021: Yoshiko was and accomplished conductor in a precisely and efficiently orchestrated operation where nothing was missing or overlooked and everything run smoothly, with utensils and ingredients appearing magically in front of you when they were needed and disappearing once they were no longer needed! All the ingredients were of high quality, usually organic and had to satisfy Yoshiko's high standards. We prepared a number of dishes, ate them at the end and learned about their health properties and what to look for when buying ingredients. It was intense, but always engaging and interesting.
  • 5/5 from Cherie Parkes, attended Mar 2021: Yoshito was an excellent teacher with a great sense of humour. She obviously knew Japanese cuisine exceptionally well and I loved the tips regarding healthy choices I cook regularly so didn’t find the course challenging It was however very enjoyable and enjoyed the food we made Would probably like to do another class
  • 5/5 from Sartaj Sandhu, attended Oct 2020: Excellent teacher. Had a great sense of humour and kept us all entertained.
