  • 5/5 from Vic, attended Sep 2025: Way above expectations. Our chef and teacher Ken made the day fun, interesting and rewarding. He made it easy to understand the intricacies of Japanese cooking with great cultural knowledge and experience mixed with his humouros personality. I especially liked the detailed explanations of what was happening with the cooking method plus some very important safety and food hygiene tips. We certainly learned how to make the meals easily and produce a professional result for ourselves at home. Our Japanese Street food on the day was as tasty as you would get in many restaurants. Everyone in my family enjoyed the experience and we now are considering what's next to learn from Ken.

  • 5/5 from Jennifer Mary Parsons, attended Aug 2025: I purchased this gift card for my husband for his birthday this year, as we've learned over 36 years of marriage that experiences are much better, (especially shared together), rather than accumulating 'things'. Matthew has been to Japan twice over the past 8+ years (with our youngest and then our eldest daughters) and has enjoyed his holidays there immensely. Ken was fabulous!!! bright, cheery and well informed as to not only the ingredients we were using but also the origin and particular locations in Japan which are known for those ingredients. His information as to why we do (or not do) certain things whilst preparing and cooking, is invaluable. We had a fabulous time learning and creating our own Japanese Street Food, and the food was soooo very yummy. The entire experience was wonderful and the food was so delicious that we went out that very afternoon to purchase the ingredients so we could practice the techniques Ken taught us, to recreate that delicious pancake and the chicken and pork skewers. Ken was accommodating and non-judgemental when it came to us (and another class member) not using alcohol in our cooking, due to religious health codes that we follow. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!! Ken - we will be recommending you, ClassBento and Sydney Cooking School as a great experience to share with a loved one, or friend. Arigatō - Jenni
  • 5/5 from Peter Martin Davies, attended Aug 2025: Awesome class, really enjoyed it. Will be back for more
