I am a firm believer that the only thing that differentiates an Artist from the crowd is an innate will to create. At the Studio, I focus on coaxing out those skills that we all have, reimagining the traditional rules and letting you loose to create unique, hand crafted work you’ll be proud of.

A small group of teacher colleagues enjoyed a 3 hour workshop with Bas at the Wanneroo Markets. Bas greeted us at the front of the markets to show us to her stall. She was very patient wth all our questions and comments about wood burning. We trialled the wood burning tools and learnt different techniques and tried out different attachments. We then chose a piece of wood and made our own piece having each brought a black and white image to the class to create. Bas' gentle guidance was instrumental in our success. It was a really fun class and we all left very happy with our works of art.

Fantastic class with Bas! Such a fun way to learn a new skill. Bas is a wonderful tutor and balances information and experience so well. The studio is a lovely space with great equipment and a really nice environment for the half day course. Highly recommend

Communication from the start was prompt and welcoming, from when I first inquired about wheelchair access for this as a Christmas reset, to when we participated in the class, and then were sent memorable photos that very same evening.
Bas was knowledgeable and enthusiastic in sharing her skill and talent. Good paced teaching great written notes to take away with us. She was intuitive in knowing when to ask if we were going ok, and would come over and offer specific advise and tips on next steps. This made a huge difference to the outcome of our work. Appreciated the refreshments.
We came away from the wood burning class very pleased with our results and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the class to others.

Great class, great tutor explained and helped every step of the way. Small group helped loads. one of my favourites classes and came away with a beautiful cheese board that I will actually use :)

Bas was an amazing teacher. Made everyone feel comfortable and confident to try whatever we wanted. Excellent selection of timber, really good tools and Bas explained lots of techniques and approaches to making wood burning easy and fun and also what to watch out for.

I can’t recommend Bas and her workshops enough Bas is such a caring, informative and creative teacher. She is warm, so helpful and very knowledgeable about wood burning. She is very attentive and was always offering suggestions to help me get the result I wanted. There were so many different wood options available to place our designs on. There was a platter provided. The working space is warm and inviting and has plenty of gorgeous examples of wood burning work. You should totally do this workshop! I’m going to want to do another one!

Great little workshop, we attached handles to ours to make our pieces into a cheeseboard, so happy with it. The wood you can select from is beautiful too!

Just what I needed to get started on my wood burning journey. Basia was a wealth of knowledge but it was balanced with practical hands on practise. She was able to work with each participant where their area of need was.

Bas was an excellent teacher, very encouraging and patient. The tools were perfect for beginners, the materials were an excellent quality and there was a good variety to choose from. We all would have happily spent the entire day there, we enjoyed it so much.

I had a great time at this workshop. Bas is extremely talented and a very good instructor. She covered all aspects of pyrography - safety, burning techniques etc before I started my project.
The workshop and the artwork I created exceeded my expectations. So impressed, I've purchased my own burner so I can further explore this medium.
I highly recommend this workshop for anyone interested in trying this art form

Bas is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and very welcoming. All equipment was provided to learn pyrography along with a detailed workbook I got to keep. I've found a new hobby thanks to Bas. I recommend this workshop for anyone wanting to learn this art or just wanting to join a fun workshop.
