What you'll do
Spend an afternoon with clay on your hands and a smile on your face at this ceramic slipcasting workshop in Melbourne.
R L Foote Design Studio welcomes you into our light-filled creative workshop where a passionate expert Ryan Foote and his skilled team will teach you how to pour, de-mould and clean up your own slipcast drinking vessel before hand-applying special effect using coloured porcelain!
You'll work with your hands and complete a slipcast drinking vessel that you can take home and use. You'll even get to pick from one of the R L Foote Design Studio mould shapes to make a cup, mug or high-ball drinking vessel.
Slipcasting is a method of making ceramics with a liquid clay body which is poured into a plaster mould and allowed to form a layer on the inside walls of the mould before emptying the remaining slip and de-moulding once dry.
Perfect for anyone looking for an introduction to slipcasting, this hands-on ceramic workshop in Melbourne will leave you feeling creative and inspired with new ceramic art to take home!
Please note: You will be able to pick up your piece in the following two weeks after your workshop once it has been fired.
