Eau De Cologne Perfume Making Class: A Marvellous History

History, Intrigue and an Eau de Cologne just for you!

2.5 hours Class size 1 to 10 (public classes), 2 to 15

label $270 (or 4 payments of $67.50 Afterpay)

Eau de Colognes have a marvellous ability to lift the senses, brighten your mood and soothe the nerves. Whilst evanescent, they are an olfactory ray of sunshine, banishing clouds and making you feel good.

Did you know that the first Eau de Cologne was made around 1709 and that by 1727 they were registered as medicines?

In this scent event, we will explore the surprising history of Eau de Colognes, smell a 200 year old bottle of the first Eau de Cologne made commercially.
We will smell the classic ingredients that make up an Eau de Cologne and learn
about the medicinal benefits of the aromatics used to make these scents.

We will then reconstruct a 300-year-old recipe for an Eau de Cologne. This is your chance to smell not only history, but wear the favoured scent of Napoleon, Voltaire and the royal court. You will get to take home a 7, 5mL vial of this scent of history.

Inspired by your ingredients, you will then make your own ideal version of an Eau de Cologne from our palette of Eau de Cologne ingredients.

To make sure you don't get distracted by what you are already wearing, please do not wear scent to this workshop.

Cult of Scent Atelier is an accessible venue. Let us know if you will need any assistance.

Please note, if you would like a bespoke perfume making session please get in touch.
