Jewellery Workshop - Stamped Metal Jewellery

2 hours Class size 1 to 4

label $120 (or 4 payments of $30 Afterpay)

Have you ever wanted to create unique, personalised jewellery for yourself or your friends? Then metal stamping is for you. In this workshop, you will learn how to design and craft one-of-a-kind pieces incorporating monograms, mantras, or simple images. By the end of the class, you will have made a selection of pendants, a cuff bracelet, and a ring - each piece as distinct as you are.

Don't worry if you're new to metal stamping; this workshop is perfect for beginners. The relaxed atmosphere and hands-on guidance will ease any nerves as you explore your creativity. You'll work with the provided materials to fashion your creations, with the option to purchase extra elements like chains as needed.

When you leave, you'll have a collection of individualised pieces to cherish or gift, each telling a story that is uniquely yours.

  • Materials will be provided to make a bar necklace or bracelet, 3 disc pendants, a ring, and a cuff bracelet.
  • Additional materials can be purchased on the day.
  • Small class sizes ensure plenty of individual attention and support.

Hi! I’m Caitlin Lewis, jeweller and educator, and one of the resident artists at 26 Advantage Rd in Highett.

I have always been fascinated by materials, their properties and interactions. That’s what led me to study and teach chemistry, and it’s also been a real inspiration in my artistic practice.

When my family moved to the US in 2016, I had the opportunity to take a number of courses through the local arts centres and discovered my love of metalsmithing. I worked my way through every course on offer and ended up working as a jewellery instructor and studio coordinator. I started my business Clewdoodle in 2017, making and selling jewellery at local craft markets.

When we moved back to Melbourne in early 2022, I joined the creative community in the beautiful studios at 26 Advantage Rd. I love sharing my enthusiasm for jewellery making with others, and hope to provide knowledge, assistance and inspiration for a new community of makers here in Bayside Melbourne.
