Katie Milton

Global Head of Content and Production
Meet Katie Milton, the creative powerhouse behind ClassBento's global editorial department. Back in 2019, when ClassBento was a burgeoning startup with two co-founders and a free workspace at the Sydney Startup Hub, Katie jumped on board determined to share the inspiring stories of local creatives with the world.
Katie firmly believes that creativity is the key to a happy life, and she's on a mission to prove it. With her infectious enthusiasm and knack for storytelling, Katie has established and scaled ClassBento's editorial department across Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Day-to-day there’s nothing she loves more than drawing on her bag of SEO tricks to promote teachers’ workshops and empower the editorial team to develop new skills and find that perfect word.
When she's not busy crafting content or scouting out amazing teachers to feature, you can find Katie exploring the local art scene, tending to her ever-growing family of houseplants, or trying to surf the whitewash. A good reminder that we all start somewhere and often the best thing you can do is dive in!
Career Story
Katie Milton is an adventurous arts and culture writer and editor who has seamlessly transitioned into the world of SEO, bringing her expertise and passion for creativity, human stories, and community along with her.
With an impressive portfolio of work and a decade of writing experience, Katie has contributed to renowned publications such as the Sydney Morning Herald, Broadsheet, Art Collector, Art Edit, and Luxury Travel Magazine. Katie spent the early years of her career immersing herself in the Sydney arts community and taking time out to explore the globe. Whether she was seeking out local galleries, coffee spots or op-shop finds, she always had an eye for hidden gems.
Driven by her love for a well-crafted sentence and the creative community, Katie dove headfirst into various roles early in her career. She worked as a gallery assistant, freelance writer, arts publicist, and marketing coordinator for Liveworks Festival of Experimental Art. Somewhere in between Katie took on the role of Editor and led redesigns for two independent art and travel publications. This immersive journey sharpened her communication skills and ignited a newfound ambition to promote the accessibility of the arts.
During a volunteer board tenure for the experimental art journal Runway, Katie discovered her passion for mentoring young writers and creative professionals. She finds joy in helping aspiring wordsmiths conquer the blank page and discover their own voice. Katie currently volunteers as a Headspace Career Mentor.
