Spend a few hours with me in my home studio in Belair, SA and delight in your own "I made this" moment.
Let your creativity run wild and learn a new skill while exploring the world of fused glass mandalas.
A spiritual symbol in Asian art, mandalas have since become a popular meditative element for a variety of different cultures. In Hindu and Buddhist cultures, in particular, they serve as a representation of the universe and a guide on the path to enlightenment. We see the geometric design appear in yoga studios, dream catchers, healing circles, and other meditative practices. The habit of creating and collecting mandalas is a transformative practise intended to restore inner peace and wisdom within.
Some of the benefits people experience creating mandalas are:
- Activates creativity and improves focus
- Enhances self-esteem and self-acceptance
- Fosters a sense of connectedness with oneself and others
- Relaxes the body and mind
- Cultivates the feeling of happiness, inner peace, and general well-being
- Eases stress and anxiety
During this workshop, you will be using my pre-cut shapes, beads, and noodles for many of the decorating ideas. All the glass beads and noodles are handmade by me, so every piece you choose will create a totally unique mandala. I will be there to guide you all the way to your beautiful finished piece. You might also like to try cutting some glass pieces yourself.
This is a 2-3 hour workshop. A tea break will be provided halfway through.
*If you have a preferred date in mind please PM me on this platform - I can make that date available to you for booking.
Please allow 1-2 weeks for your finished pieces to be ready for collection.
