What you'll do
Learn the art of bookbinding with our expert teachers and discover the wonders of making your very own books from scratch.You will be introduced to the fascinating world of bookbinding with step-by-step instructions. Learn about different types of books, the tools used in bookbinding, and how to assemble pages into beautiful books. In this workshop, you will learn:Basic binding techniques, including making 3- and 5-hole pamphlet books Japanese stab binding. You will create several books during this session.All tools and materials are provided, and everyone will get to select their favourite materials, including colourful papers and sturdy card stock to personalise their book covers.Workshop written and delivered by Isabelle McGowan © 2024 Isabelle McGowan. - This is a technical workshop; anyone with enthusiasm for making books and sewing is welcome to join in. No experience is necessary, but the workshop requires the use of sharp instruments, and being able to follow verbal instructions is expected.
