What you'll do
In this engaging workshop, you'll learn basic silversmithing techniques in a relaxed setting in West End, creating a beautiful Metal Pendant to take home on the day.
Don't worry if you're new to silversmithing - this workshop is designed for beginners, and you'll receive step-by-step guidance throughout the process.
This workshop is designed so that each participant will be able to make their unique design. Images are provided for inspiration, and pre-cut metal is provided. Tools are provided to create your unique shapes as well. You will be able to finish off your pendant with a wire of your choosing and a variety of cords. Sterling silver necklaces will be available at an additional cost.
Everything is provided for the workshop, including:
- Copper, brass and aluminium sheet metal, pre-cut.
- Ethically sourced Sterling Silver for the wire.
- Tea, coffee and snacks
Take home a personalised keyring that you make from your piece of practice metal.
Immerse yourself in the craft of jewellery making as you sip on tea or coffee, enjoy some snacks, and chat with your fellow participants. The cosy workshop environment is perfect for a date or a small gathering with friends, offering a mindful and intimate experience.
Located in a trendy Queenslander house in West End, the venue provides a relaxing atmosphere with a touch of nature.
VENUE
This workshop is held in the centre of West End, just walking distance from the hustle and bustle of Boundary Street but in a quiet backstreet, so we hear the birds chirping as we work.
The workshops are held in a trendy West End artsy Queenslander house (converted into a commercial property) with on-street parking. We are kept cool by a beautiful cross breeze.
Please Note: There is no advertising on the front of the house; it looks like a house but is a commercial property.
This venue has a ramp for ease of access.

Please advise on booking if there will be someone assisting you at the workshop. Space is limited at the workshop table but there is a lounge room available for carers to relax in while you attend the workshop.

Auburn in Love is based in the creative hub of West End, in central Brisbane, workshops are held throughout Brisbane and Southeast Queensland. Individuals can attend workshops in peaceful settings or book private workshops for small groups to large organisations.
Private workshops are designed to accommodate the requirements of each group, from a revolving 10-minute souvenir to a 3-hour focused creation. Mindfulness and meditative moments can be achieved through the designing and making for a purpose, and the therapeutic processes of texturising and finishing the piece.
