Looking to expand your culinary skills and learn about vibrant South Asian cuisine? We will come to you and create a fun and interactive cooking class and take you on a culinary adventure like no other.

In this interactive workshop, you'll discover the secrets of South Asian dishes and learn how to cook mouthwatering recipes that are sure to impress.

Suitable for beginners, our friendly teacher will make it fun and guide you through the cooking experience, teaching you new skills and techniques along the way. You'll learn how to blend and roast spices, use fresh ingredients and incorporate beautiful flavours into your meals.

Not only will you gain valuable cooking knowledge but what better way to bond with family and friends in your own home? Food tastes even better when shared with loved ones who appreciate it, so let us bring our class to you and create a memorable experience.

During the class, you'll also have the chance to celebrate special occasions or simply try something different. Our cooking classes are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, hen's parties, team building activities or even just a fun family cooking experience. We can create kids’ friendly simple menus that will get your little ones excited about cooking.

All you must do is turn up with an open mind, heart and an empty belly. We will bring all the ingredients listed in your recipe cards and you will be given all the recipes to re-create the dishes later.

After you prepare the meals, you’ll enjoy the food that you prepared together, and your teacher will share some of her knowledge and stories about South Asian cuisine.

We will custom design classes to your needs. Below are some sample menus:

Note: The workshop will take place in the convenience of your own home, anywhere in the Gold Coast. Workshops are interactive, hands-on, and lots of fun. The class numbers are limited to a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 30 participants.

Shazly is passionate about food. Born and raised in the Maldives food is a big part of her culture.

For Shazly her earliest memories of growing up was the laughter and smells that came from her family home kitchen. Sharing the beautiful traditional Maldivian and South Asian dishes that both her grandmothers and mother cooked for their loved ones. Each dish was mastered using the freshest of ingredients and created with so much love from scratch. That is one of her fondest memories growing up. Following from those traditions, food is a big part of her life.

After migrating to New Zealand 27 years ago she started truly appreciating her roots and the rich traditional South Asian cuisines. With the absence of her mother and grandparents she had no choice but to master the art of cooking the traditional meals she grew up with. Her kitchen is always the hub where people gather to enjoy her home-made cooking. Food that she loves from all different cultures that has been created and shared with family and friends will stay with her forever.

She believes that the joy of cooking extends beyond nourishing our bodies; it also nourishes our minds, emotions, and overall well-being.

She now wants to extend her knowledge of the beautiful South Asian cuisine to other food enthusiasts, and keep spreading her knowledge.
