Explore punch needle with one of our Australian native punch needle craft boxes! You can choose from one of our native birds or native florals - or create a collection of your own.

Punch needle brings together the best of embroidery and rug hooking in a fun and efficient way. The techniques are easy to learn and once mastered you will be able to create amazing works of fibre art.

Included in the Craft Box is:

A template of your chosen design,
A #10 FINE Oxford Punch Needle,
A 10-inch Morgan non-slip embroidery hoop,
A piece of Monks cloth that you will use to create your punch needle masterpiece,
A pair of embroidery scissors and
All the wool you need to complete your piece

We will also give you access to a digital workshop to take you through the key steps to complete your design including to stretch your fabric onto your hoop, transfer your design onto the fabric, all the essential punch needle tips and techniques and we will show you how to create pile and sculpt this to create amazing three-dimensional effects.

What you'll need

A pair of scissors to cut fabric with.
A pen or marker to trace your chosen design onto your fabric.

This is a fun indoor activity, suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 10 years old). An adult must be present whilst kid(s) engage with the box.

I wanted to improve my skill while creating a pair to 'The Wattle', 'The Cockatoo' fitted this requirement perfectly.
Love the online video because all choices are referred to and shown during the tutorial, it's clear and concise and love all the extra little hints and suggestions.
While expensive it's worth it.

Enjoyed learning 'Punch Needle' with 'Andy the Alpaca' sooo much that I wanted more of a challenge and 'The Wattle' provided this.
Very impressed with the quality of the wool & tools etc.
The online video was most useful and Rebecca the Teacher was really helpful.
