Ceramic Planter and Saucer Making Workshop

Create a ceramic planter with a saucer for your green friends!

4 hours Class size 1 to 5

label $69 (or 4 payments of $17.25 Afterpay)

Make the plant in your life a sweet little home at this Perth ceramics workshop with Hannah from Moody Rabbit in her cozy studio. In this class, you will learn how to make a customisable ceramic planter and saucer set.

Over four hours, you will learn the slab hand-building method using earthenware clay to construct your gorgeous creations. We will also paint and glaze our planters and saucers towards to end of the session.

Your pot will be around 45cm in circular dimension and about 15cm tall. Your saucer will be able to fit nicely around your pot to accommodate water.

During this fun and interactive workshop, you will learn the basics of clay, different firing types and learn all about the clay we will use. You will also learn the importance of using slip and how it can be used to construct your pieces.

You will be able to collect your ceramic pieces two weeks after the class so that they can be properly dried and fired in a kiln.

We had a great day making our planter and saucer with Hannah. She was good at explaining the process of creating the planter. Her shop also had lots of example to use for inspiration.

I had lots of fun at this workshop!
It was my first time doing this and I was quite concerned I was not able to get a pot and saucer together!
Hannah was great! She gave us pointers on what we wanted and her instructions were very clear!
