Tips for brainstorming Christmas staff party ideas

Your Christmas work party should be something everyone can enjoy, from the CEO to the newest member of the team. When choosing a creative activity, keep these considerations in mind:

• Think about everyone's interests: Choose an activity that's accessible to beginners and gives everyone a chance to get involved, whether they're crafty pros or haven't picked up a paintbrush since school.
• Consider different preferences: Creative doesn't have to mean one-size-fits-all. Look for activities that suit different personalities, from relaxed candle making to hands-on cooking and lively team building experiences.
• Check dietary requirements: If you're planning a cooking or baking class, make sure there are suitable options for colleagues with allergies, intolerances or different dietary preferences.
• Keep accessibility in mind: Consider whether everyone can comfortably take part in the activity and whether the venue is easy for your team to get to.
• Think about the logistics: Check the group size, location and duration before settling on an activity. For busy teams, mobile or virtual workshops can make organising your Christmas celebration much easier.
• Give your team something to remember: The best creative Christmas parties aren't just about spending time together. Choose an experience where everyone can learn something new, make something they're proud of or simply enjoy a well-deserved break from work.
