Shake up your weekend with 25+ cocktail making classes in Sydney! You don’t have to be a bartender to learn how to make easy cocktails at home. In just a few hours, our talented mixologists will show you all the tricks and tips to making delicious drinks with your favourite tipples. From fruity pina coladas to zesty margaritas, a hands-on class is one of the best ways to learn cocktail making in 2026. Whether you’re looking for the perfect experience gift for your social bestie or unique team building activities that’ll get the whole office buzzing, put a cocktail course in Sydney on your list of must do activities.
Cocktail making for beginners
Mixology is one of the best Sydney activities to try in 2026. Cocktail making has gone far beyond simply mixing alcohol with soda water. Now, you can learn the tricks of your favourite bartender by learning more about quality ingredients and craft spirits to take your drinks to the next level. Cocktail making may have been around for many years, but we’re in a new exciting age of mixology. And what’s better than indulging in a good cocktail? Treating yourself to a great cocktail making class, of course! With these hands-on classes, Sydney’s best, local mixologists will provide you with a mixology workshop that you won’t forget.
Everyone has their favourite signature drink and you don't need any prior bartending experience to learn how to make cocktails like the pros. You can take a general cocktail course to learn how to make classics like the espresso martini or mojito, explore cocktail making classes with a focus on organic ingredients or utilising with native botanicals, or start out with a beginner’s cocktail or bartending course in Sydney.
What to expect at Sydney cocktail classes
Cocktail classes are quickly becoming one of the most popular things to do in Sydney for private groups. They’re great for classy hens party ideas, bucks parties, birthday parties, and even as fun corporate team building activities—what a great way to switch up the standard after-work drinks! Whether you’re planning a special occasion or you’re just interested in the magic of cocktail making and want to have a fun evening out, your talented and experienced bartenders are ready to teach and entertain you.
In a Sydney cocktail course, your experienced mixology teacher will walk you through the basic elements that make a cocktail absolutely delicious. After learning the how-to and seeing the techniques from your instructor, you’ll have the chance to make your own creation and, of course, enjoy your unique cocktail while mingling with friends or family. Make a Mai Tai, mix a martini, a margarita or a Manhattan. Bask in a Black Russian or whip up a whisky sour. Prepare a Pina Colada or bring on a Bloody Mary. Welcome to the wonderful world of mixology. You'll never want to leave!
Social experiences are great for your wellbeing
Once you learn how to use quality ingredients in your cocktails, you’ll never want to go back to the sugary, unhealthy pre-made mixes. Plus, a cocktail making class is a fun, social activity that will instantly boost your mood. When you're doing something engaging and fun, it triggers a release of endorphins and will help you unwind after a stressful week, promote better quality sleep and increase your creativity. You'll get the chance to bond with your friends or colleagues or meet some new people too, helping to improve your social skills. So, if you’re looking for must do indoor activities, it’s time to treat yourself with these cocktail classes in Sydney!
Custom classes
Want to learn or experience something specific? You can easily contact our teachers and arrange a custom workshop at your preferred time and to suit your skill level.
If you’re looking for a unique and memorable event these workshops are perfect things to do with friends on the weekend, for aged care groups, team building exercises, indoor things to do, and kids weekend activities. We've got a range of teachers who cater specifically to larger events, and we can customise classes to meet your needs. Get in touch today and we'll put something together for you.
