What you'll do
Have you ever wanted to learn crochet, but it seemed too hard or confusing? In this two-and-a-half-hour workshop in the Blue Mountains, you will learn basic crochet techniques while creating your own unique scarf.
Choose from two ticket types - BYO materials or materials Included. Your tutor will teach you crochet terminology, how to read a pattern and about different types of yarn and hook sizes.
Your passionate teacher will patiently answer your questions and provide personalised guidance to help you build confidence in your crochet abilities.
By the end of the workshop, you will have the confidence to continue working on your scarf at home and eventually take on more challenging crochet projects.
Creative Kids vouchers can be accepted! Recommended for kids aged 12 and above.

Beginner-friendly. No previous crochet experience is required.

What to bring
ScissorsIf choosing the BYO materials option, you will need:
- 10-ply yarn of your choice (acrylic, cotton or wool) approximately 6 x 50g skeins (or 570m) depending on the length of scarf you want
- 5mm crochet hook
- Stitch marker
- Yarn needle
All of the above can be purchased from most craft stores.

Hi, my name is Kristyn. I am a fibre artist based in the Blue Mountains of NSW and I work with the crafts of macrame, crochet and weaving.
I started crafting after my second child was born and quickly became addicted. What started as a therapeutic hobby has now turned into a small business and I am absolutely loving being a part of the creative community in the Blue Mountains.
I have a strong focus on using recycled or second-hand materials and the majority of my materials are purchased second hand. I love upcycling old things and giving them new life as beautiful home decor items!
I have been teaching macrame workshops for the past few years and I absolutely it.
