Did you ever want to be a florist and somehow never got around to it? Or are you considering a career in this direction and not sure you know what it actually entails?

This class is for you!

Presented by me, Ayelet, owner of Hayfever Flowers and an award-winning florist with 13 years of experience, this half-day intensive class provides an introduction to (most) things floristry:

market - buying (flower names, suppliers, seasons, longevity)
processing flowers & foliage (prac)
retail vs events
bouquet (prac)
arrangement - in floral foam (prac)
wiring basics (prac) - what it's needed/used for and some practise using wires and para-film

Apart from flowers and floristry, my true love lies in passing on the knowledge of this very unique craft that has given me so much satisfaction and comfort as well as exhilaration over the years.

Whether you connect with the "art" of it, the link to nature, or the beauty, there's something for everyone in floristry, and knowing the basics is your starting platform.

Our shop is located on a main road with several bus routs passing through or near it. If coming with a car, the first blocks on Dougherty and Berry streets are 1 hour free parking but further blocks are unlimited.
