What you'll do
Looking for unique Vivid Sydney experiences? Bring along your DSLR or mirrorless camera and capture the vibrant colours and lights of our city's most popular festival!
Designed for intermediate to advanced photographers, this hands-on photography workshop will see you walking around Sydney, shooting dynamic installations in back lanes and intricate light art projections on iconic buildings like the Opera House.
You'll be guided by a local and passionate photographer who will give you an understanding of advanced composition techniques and the use of ISO in low-light scenarios.
This unique photography class is a great way to bond with friends at a birthday party or with colleagues for team building and is a wonderful opportunity to explore Sydney and the Vivid Festival through a new lens.
Over three and a half hours, you'll learn more about manual exposure, slow shutter speeds and ND filters and at the end of the class, you'll have a portfolio of amazing images that will truly make Vivid shine in your memory!
Please note:
- Our maximum group is six so you get plenty of one-on-one with your guide.
- Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of your class in The Rocks.
Knowledge required
We start beyond the basics so you need to know your way around your camera. Advanced students enjoy the locations and the finer important details about crafting with light.
What you'll get
- Free handout notes.
- Use of loan share tripods at no cost.
- A maximum group of six.
- Time with your guide to critique and improve your photography.
What to bring
- Fully charged batteries and recommend two lenses.
- A pen and tripod if you have them.
