What you'll do

Join us as we immerse ourselves in the vibrant creative workshop, where we invite you to bring your beloved pet to life on paper! This is a unique opportunity to explore your furry friend's personality through colourful art pieces using Posca pens and pencils. Whether you have a mischievous cat, a loyal dog, or even a quirky bird, this workshop is for all animal lovers.

In this 2-hour session, we'll learn how to draw animals using basic shapes, discover techniques to capture your pet's unique characteristics and personality, and combine photo references with your imagination to create colourful A5 art pieces.

Bring your enthusiasm and love for your pet as we experiment with Posca pens to create bold, vibrant artworks.

Please have some photos ready for us to pick a perfect pose for your creations.

Bodhi is my Havanese dog and your welcoming committee. He takes his role very seriously, but if you are uncomfortable with dogs, please let me know. He is a hypoallergenic fluff ball who will make you feel very welcome.

Herbal teas will be provided on arrival, with candles and music to enhance the cosy experience in my creative space.

An open mind and heart as using Poscas can be challenging but so much fun!!

Serena Geddes

Hello, my name is Serena. I’m an illustrator, artist, teacher, speaker and all-round creative, and I’m excited to share my creative and wellness workshops with you!
As a fulltime picture book illustrator and graphic novel artist, my ultimate joy is teaching adults that anything is possible if you are open to heart felt exploration and play.

In my twenties I worked as an artist for Walt Disney Studios where I gained most of my illustration skills and scribbled my way onto the credits of some highly recognised sequels such as The Lion King II, Jungle Book II and The Little Mermaid II.

My love of illustration and teaching has moved my focus from kids classes to running workshops for adults teaching visual journaling and creative drawing. Inspired by the increasing number of adults sharing their limiting belief around drawing, I wanted to bring in ways to share my years of drawing combined with my wellness workshops.

I find joy in meeting new people, guiding others in creating art that reflects their mood, ignites their imagination and captures their day. I am always open to hosting events and engaging in exciting collaborations with businesses.
