Woodworking Class: Round Coffee Table

Have you ever dreamed of making your own furniture? Let this Lady Tradie show you how!

7 hours Class size 1 to 4

label $395 (or 4 payments of $98.75 Afterpay)

Maybe you’ve dabbled in some repurposing or tried your hand at using chalk paint. But have you ever made something, from scratch? This Sydney woodworking class will teach you how to build your very own coffee table, using two techniques of joinery---without ANY prior experience or skills necessary. Guided by me, in my workshop in Frenchs Forest, I’ll teach you how to safely use tools like a drop saw, a drill and driver, the Kreg Jig, an orbital sander, the router and the jigsaw.

Over our day together, I’ll walk you through how to use two methods of joinery (the pocket hole and the half lap join) to build your own stunning coffee table in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment. In my small classes, you’ll feel 100% supported and able to ask lots of questions in a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere. Experience the joy, focus and connectedness that comes from building something with your own hands.

You’ll leave my workshop not only brimming with new knowledge but full of pride in your achievement, and having had a super fun, enriching day with some friends. Not only that, but you’ll also take home a gorgeous piece of designer furniture, made by you!

Girl and Grain

After a 20-year career making TV commercials, I realised I had lost the love of what I was making.
And for a maker the love is everything!

It was time to find a new way to contribute to the world. I enrolled in a three year TAFE course, determined to become a qualified tradie. Fast forward ten years and now I run my own business making custom-made furniture and running BEGINNER woodworking classes. Join me for a short course in a small class, a one-on-one lesson, or a full weekend of making and discover the joy and connectedness that comes from the craft of woodworking!
