What you'll do

Join us for a unique and engaging flower arrangement class in Sydney where you'll learn the art of creating beautiful bouquets with fresh flowers and foliage. In this hands-on workshop, we'll guide you step by step in selecting and combining elements to produce a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing bouquet that reflects your creativity.

Led by our creative director Chris Saban and his experienced team, this workshop will teach you various techniques for arranging bouquets using a beautiful selection of fresh seasonal flowers. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, we'll make sure you feel at ease in our Merchant And Green workshop space.

Throughout the class, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature discovering unique qualities and celebrating rich cultural significance. As you arrange the flowers and foliage, you'll find yourself feeling relaxed, inspired, and fully engaged in the creative process.

At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a stunning bouquet that can be used to decorate your home or gifted to someone special. This flower arrangement class in Sydney not only offers you a chance to enhance your floral skills, but it also provides a fresh perspective on the art of flower arranging.

Had such a lovely experience with the wildflower arranging workshop. Orla was a great teacher. Really clear and helpful. And the flowers were gorgeous. I’m still looking at my arrangement that I brought home, and it makes me very happy and proud. I’d definitely recommend this as a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, or a good introduction if you’ve been considering pursuing floristry (I know I’m definitely hooked, and going to come back).

A beautiful and welcoming venue at a flower shop. The teacher was friendly, accommodating, experienced in her craft and very helpful. It was a fun morning, learning a few things, with all the wildflowers provided. We each went home with a beautiful bouquet we have created, complete with wrapping paper and ribbon. A lovely experience to share with a friend or for yourself.

Beautiful venue, enthusiastic and warm teacher. Beautiful flowers and great teaching would definitely come back. Only issue was that there definitely needed to be two staff members on as she needed to step away from the class a lot to serve others and it made the whole thing run late- totally not her fault! But that did impact the experience. Loved it though. Òrla was fabulous.

This was a really fun date day for myself and my husband. We got to play with different bouquet shapes and learn about how to use various textures and sizes of foliage together. Olna was friendly, knowledgeable and supportive and gave us a great balance of instruction and creative freedom. We both walked away with a beautiful bouquet, and I’ve already told my mom that another workshop with Merchant and Green would be a great gift idea.

The wildflower arranging workshop was excellent! Such a lovely afternoon with great information & guidance from the teachers while also letting us take our bouquets in our own direction :) We learned to make bouquets 3 different ways using the wildflowers. The workshop is in a gorgeous location in the florist studio, surrounded by wonderful flowers.
The flowers provided were beautiful and we each got to take home a huge bunch that we put together ourselves. I think it was perfect value for money & the class was what I expected & hoped for!

Chris & Mitch were perfect hosts, so attentive and fun. We were shown multiple ways of arranging flowers and ample time to play around with different ideas, there was absolutely no rush to stick to the allotted time. The herbal tea was also very welcome. Had such a fun time! Chris is lovely and it was so welcoming arriving and having a cup of tea waiting. The space is really welcoming and lovely and being in the storefront means you also see customers come in and chat about the flowers they’re getting etc. this was wildflowers and the selection was incredible - some I hadn’t seen before were really breathtaking and they look so good on my dining table now, too!

This was my first time joining a flower arranging workshop - and I super love it. Just want to say big thanks to Mitch and Chris for such a wonderful experience; they are such great and fun teachers. Besides learning how to arrange the flowers, I was amazed at the fact that there are many different kinds of native wildflowers/plants provided on the day. On top of that, I love that I get to bring my own bouquet arrangement home. I am glad I spent $130 for this particular workshop, it was a really good value for money.

What a great relaxing activity to do while on holidays. Chris the teacher was friendly and a wealth of knowledge. My private wildflower class was amazing. My mum and I participated in a class run by Mitch who was extremely knowledgeable, really friendly, and super helpful. We had a wonderful time and felt that we learnt great techniques when it comes to putting together your own bouquet or arrangement in a vase. As always, Chris was amazing! I had previously attended his terrarium class and loved it so much that I came back for a private class with my family. He was thoughtful and patient throughout the entire class, offering us great pieces of information and advice on how to make a beautiful bouquet. His eye for colour, years of experience and bubbly personality really makes him the best teacher. For the price, you learn so much and get to take home an ENORMOUS bouquet that looks and smells amazing.

The class was really enjoyable. The venue was in a house just across from Chris's flowershop, it was a perfect setting for the class. He was extremely helpful and gave lots of tips. You then took your creations home with you, so it is definitely value for money. Would recommend.
