Take a deep dive into a DIY project and learn something new as you're guided by the city's best teachers and creatives. With so many fun things to do in Adelaide, why not create your own alcohol ink, head along to a pottery class or learn how to make handmade jewellery in Bridgewater? Whether you're brainstorming party ideas, celebrating a milestone or seeking our personalised gifts for her, our Adelaide craft classes make for an unforgettable experience.
With craft classes for all ages and experiences, our craft classes in Adelaide are perfect for newcomers and experienced crafters, alike! Our workshop instructors place as much emphasis on education as they do on creating an inclusive and relaxing environment for you to learn in. No matter the class - from glass blowing courses to wheel throwing - our artisans will show you how to build your craft repertoire in a fun and creatively freeing space. And, thanks to the simplicity of our booking system, you’re able to book according to your own schedule and budget.
Most of our Adelaide workshops offer you both public and private lessons, depending on what you’re looking for. Chasing a one-on-one woodworking workshop to brush up on your carving skills? Maybe you’re looking to join in a silversmithing workshop to learn how to make jewellery with likeminded people? Whatever you’re searching for, our craft classes in Adelaide can work around you and your needs. Many of our workshop instructors also offer additional extras and special group packages if you’re looking for gift experiences in Adelaide.
Whether you’re in need of hens party ideas, birthday party ideas, or just getting the gang back together, never hesitate to contact the workshop instructor ahead of time to make the experience a little more personal. Some of our classes are also BYO. If you’re unsure, just get in touch with the class instructor to see what you’re able to bring with you. With so many unique experiences Adelaide has to offer, our craft classes will have you discovering more about yourself than ever before!
Textiles classes in Adelaide
Covering a wide variety of craft mediums, textile classes really tie the fabric of crafting together. With Adelaide workshops to teach you the Japanese art of Shibori dyeing, the needle-less magic of learning how to macrame, or even if you’re hunting down sewing classes for kids, Adelaide is awash with incredible sewers and stitchers wanting to teach you how to paint with thread. Not just this, but if you’ve ever wanted to design your own shirts, our DIY screen printing classes will show you how to design, print and replicate exciting patterns and images onto your own t-shirts! One of the most original things to do in Adelaide, mastering screen printing can help you make your own merch, or simply revamp your wardrobe with a more personal touch.
Woodworking classes in Adelaide
Perfect if you’re looking for things to do in Adelaide that’ll make your household shed useful, our woodworking classes will give you a comprehensive rundown on all the materials, tools and techniques to start you on your woodworking journey. Whether you’ve already got small woodwork projects that need finishing, or looking for woodworking classes for kids as a fun alternative to sport, our Adelaide workshops can help you saw into the world of woodworking.
Jewellery classes in Adelaide
Of all the Adelaide workshops we offer, none sound more daunting than the prospect of silversmithing classes and learning how to make your own jewellery. But that shouldn’t be a bad thing. Our jewellery making classes are an exceptionally hands-on approach, and learning how to make a silver ring or handmade earrings are some of our most engaging things to do in Adelaide! Perfect for experienced crafters or newcomers looking for a challenge, making your own DIY jewellery and becoming a master silversmith is some of the best ways to dive into the deep end of craft classes.
Pottery classes in Adelaide
There’s a good reason so many primary schools have pottery as part of their curriculum. Often used as art therapy, pottery classes and ceramic painting are some of the best stress relievers available, and one of the best craft classes to really get creative! Whether you’re looking for wheel throwing classes, ceramic glazing workshops or hand building pottery courses, our growing range of craft classes in Adelaide has all your pottery needs. And, with after school crafts for kids, your little ones can be clay sculpting alongside you!
Papercraft and ink classes in Adelaide
Ever fancied yourself good with a brush? Our calligraphy classes and brush lettering workshops aren’t just a chance to enhance your handwriting skills, but a great opportunity to destress. Calligraphy writing is often utilised as a form of ‘mindful movement meditation’ and is great if you’re looking for things to do in Adelaide that can help you relax.
Health benefits of craft classes
Learning a new hobby is a fantastic way to build self-esteem and grow your creativity in a fun and relaxing environment. Craft classes such as brush lettering and pottery are also popular forms of ‘mindful movement meditation’ and are an important part of relaxing and detoxing during periods of high stress. Common methods of art therapy, pottery and calligraphy reduce anxiety and depression, and by engaging with your motor skills and problem-solving abilities, will also ward off degenerative brain diseases.
Custom classes
Want to learn or experience something specific? You can easily contact our teachers and arrange a custom workshop at your preferred time and to suit your skill level. If you’re looking for a unique and memorable event these workshops are perfect things to do with friends on the weekend, for aged care groups, team building exercises, indoor things to do, and kids weekend activities. We've got a range of teachers who cater specifically to larger events, and we can customise classes to meet your needs. Get in touch today and we'll put something together for you.
