What you'll do
Textured art is the latest trend, but it can be a little bit tricky to master at the start. That is why in this half-day masterclass, Sheri will guide you through everything you need to know to start creating your own stunning textured artworks.
Sheri will start the class off with a demonstration covering supplies, mixing and making the texture paste, how to use multiple palette knives and techniques to create different styles of textured art.
After the demonstration, it’s your time to get creative and choose whatever designs you want to make.
This is a private one-on-one workshop that is tailored to what you want to create. You can choose to try making 2 to 3 small pieces, trying out different styles, or focus on one larger piece. So feel free to send through any inspirational photos of any textured art style you would like to focus on.
You will be taken through the entire process, including:
- Blending paints
- Making the textured paste
- Designing a layout
- Using tools like palette knives and brushes
- Different techniques for applying and creating effects
- How to seal and finish a piece
- How to create all the different flower shapes with palette knives
- How to prevent cracks when drying
At the end of the course, you will have finished 2 to 3 different styles of textured artwork and will be confident in applying techniques and skills that you have learned to start creating on a large scale.
