What you'll do
Textured modern floral art is the latest trend but can be a little bit tricky to master at the start. That is why in this half day masterclass, Sheri will guide you through everything you need to know to start creating your own stunning textured flower artworks.
You will be taken through the entire process from:
- Blending paints
- Making the textured pasted
- Designing a layout
- Using tools like palette knives and brushes
- Different techniques to applying and creating effects
- How to seal and finish a piece
- How to create all the different flower shapes with palette knives
- How to prevent cracks when drying
Sheri will start the class off with a demonstration covering supplies, mixing and making the texture paste, how to use multiple palette knives and techniques to create different types of flowers.
After the demonstration, it’s your time to get creative and choose whatever floral design you want to make. Classes numbers are kept small and this workshop only runs once every three months, so it is essential to book in advance!
By the end of the class, you will leave with your finished masterpiece at the end of the framed artwork, as well as your newfound textured art skills.

Sheri Vegas is a Brisbane based abstract artist specialising in Resin Art and Flow acrylic painting. Sheri has always had a passion for art since she was young and has received multiple art and creative design awards. She is passionate about sharing her love for resin art and has created a beginners resin art workshops, so you can also develop your own passion for this unique art form.
