Zentangle® Inspired Art Workshop - Autumn 2025
A great Zentangle inspired art workshop using Zentangle original tangles. The sessions focused on different techniques to create two stunning artworks. Both teachers, Heidi and Yvonne give clear instructions and tips to recreate or inspire you to make it your own.

Great class which focused on colour and shading tonight, incorporating tangles with a S curve to them. Heidi always plans a relaxing evening of zentangling to end the week.

Another great class with Heidi! Today we honoured the soldiers who lost their lives in war and recognised the current armed forces with a design depicting the Rising Sun for Anzac Day.

I am a repeat customer for Heidi’s Detangle with Zentangle. Each class has at least a new tangle in a beautiful composition incorporating Zentangle original tangles. Heidi’s chooses different enhancement strategies each time. Tonight we used markers to enhance our bouquet of flowers. However you can use whatever you have on hand.

Another great class focusing on decorative letters and gemstones. We learnt a new tangle that focuses on repetition to create such a beautiful effect. A relaxing way to end the week.

Detangle with Zentangle® at Home
Another fantastic Friday night spent with Heidi tangling and mentally detangling the week. Tonight we explored a botanical theme, learnt some new tangles and completed a variation of the Zentangle original tangle Cubine. I love how it popped off the page. Each session builds our skills, don’t worry if you haven’t been to a Detangle with Zentangle session before, all that is needed is a basic Zentangle class. Heidi’s clear instructions and demonstration of the tangles cater for all Zentangle levels. I hope to see you in a future class.

Loved tonight’s class. The tangles chosen were great for getting into the zen zone and unwinding. Very repetitive strokes that created such a stunning artwork at the end. Thanks Heidi! Always learning something new.

Heidi always creates an inspiring artwork for the class, using new tangles or new techniques. I loved learning 5 new tangles in this class. Heidi gives clear instructions in a calm soothing voice, it really helps Detangle from your week and start the weekend off right.

Heidi has such a calming voice. De tangle with Zentangle is the best way to reset on a Friday night after a big mental work week. Heidi gives clear instructions, creates an inspiration artwork for us to follow along to de-stress and tangle. Another great Friday night project.

Detangle with Zentangle® at Home
Detangling with Zentangle and Heidi is relaxing and therapeutic. Each fortnight a new string or tangle or technique is explored. Tonight we explored the tangle Huggins and its “cousin”. Patterns that start similar to Huggins. Heidi’s instructions are clear, her pace caters for all in the group. I really like how she showed us how the pattern can come off the page with shading and colouring techniques.

Beginners Cyanotype Workshop: Simply Blue
I really didn’t know much about the art form before doing this course. I just really liked the final product, I have come away knowing so much. Lisa gave a hand out with lots of information and shared lots of tips as she demonstrated how to prepare the paper or fabric and then how to create an artwork. She had lots of examples to show and inspire the group. The materials provided were a great quality. It was a lovely afternoon creating 3 paper artworks and 1 on fabric. The venue has lots of parking and was easy to find.

Heidi gave clear instructions to follow along and tangle. The design we completed looks so complex but her instructions made it so easy. A great way to spend a Friday night in.

Niki provided clear instructions that made learning both enjoyable and straightforward. She explained the theory behind colouring gems that I will use time and time again. The class was practical and provided inspiration to go on your own.

Draw Zentangle® Art - Exploring Morrisseau
Niki gave clear instructions and showed lots of examples to inspire our tiles. Just love how she shared how versatile the tangle can be with changes in colour and shading.

Draw Zentangle Art: Butterflies and Bugs
Niki gives clear instructions and shares her step outs for the tangles used to create this Zentangle artwork. I had fun creating my butterflies and bugs and learnt a couple new tangles.

Fantastic class! Teacher clearly explained what we were required to do and assisted if we needed. Good value with antipasto in between pizza dough making and pizza topping.

Ikebana Flower Arranging Class
Setsuko was a friendly teacher. I attended the class with my sister and mum. We loved learning about the ikebana artform and we’re encouraged to create two beautiful arrangements. Setsuko gave great feedback to improve our arrangements.

Cocktail Class and Nibbles in Sydney Rum Distillery
Interesting to listen to the distillery process. Great value! We were welcomed with a drink, made two delicious cocktails paired with a charcuterie board. A great way to spend the afternoon.

Learn Zentangle Art: A Floral Tribute
Loved this class. Learnt new Zentangles to create my own floral tribute as well as complete two tiles. I continued after the class and experimented with adding colour with watercolour pencils. A very relaxing afternoon.

Niki is a great teacher. A well paced class giving you the skills to embellish many letters in the future, a great idea for personalised cards.

Modern Calligraphy Deconstructed
Loved this workshop. Such a great way to practice mindfulness in lockdown and a great skill to learn. Icy clearly explained the strokes and gave lots of hints and tips. I look forward to continuing my practice of calligraphy.

Bullet Journaling for Self Care
Icy gave lots of ideas to get started with bullet journaling. I learnt about the different templates and had a go at doing a Dutch door template for the month. I felt inspired after doing the course.
