Seeking a new hobby that will help you connect with your creative side? Join Iman Ceramics for their beginner-friendly hand-building workshop in Melbourne and create ceramic art in a few short hours!

This workshop will stimulate your senses and inspire wonder and curiosity. The senses are a way to be called into the present and playing with clay is an immersive sensory experience on its own. During this workshop, you will be subtly stimulating all your senses by using scent, sound and taste, which will have your creative energy freely flowing!

The space will have scent and music set to the mood of playful calm. You'll dive right into learning the basics of hand-building and learn how to create either a planter or a vase.

Creativity, in whatever form it takes, is a beautiful way to connect with yourself and others. So why not indulge your inner artist and learn the basic skills of clay hand-building at this fun hands-on workshop in Melbourne.

This class is a holistic approach to the art of ceramics - one of play, creativity, healing and connection.

Please note: You will be able to keep any completed work, or you can have your work fired and delivered back to you at an additional cost of $15. Alternatively, Iman Ceramics can provide you with details of local studios with firing services.

What to bring
Attendees should come dressed comfortably in clothing they don't mind getting a little dirty. Don't worry though! Clay washes out of clothing very easily. Alternatively, you may wear an apron.

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a team building activity, birthday, hens party or bucks party.

This would also be a nice gift for her or gift for mum.

Iman ceramics workshops are for those seeking to experience the healing of connecting with their creativity through clay as a medium. Class was fantastic, very calm and friendly environment. Welcoming to all ages and types of people. Class is a gentle introduction for those who may not have had many opportunities towards self expression and art previously. Guidance is offered gently by teacher regularly and also as requested. Teacher noted to be very in tune and supportive of the different personality/ behaviour types people have and the preferences of interaction levels/types that come with them, as people who are generally very high strung this left us feeling very comfortable in an environment we had never been in before and has made us feel safe and confident in our decision to book other similar activities.
Class offers both the ability to seek structured learning and/or the ability to create whatever you please at your own pace.
Facilities used are nice, clean and comfortable.
Materials provided are generous and well cared for.
Teacher is upfront about cost and availability of extras( firing/ glazing or your art) cost is relatively low and quite reasonable.
Very happy with class’s value for money.

What was the teacher like?
The teacher was super chill, complementary, and offered really great advice.
How was the venue?
Upstairs in The town hall’s conference room was nice and secluded. Great atmosphere too! The class I was in was filled with jovial people.
If materials were provided, did you like them? Clay was provided as well as some shaping tools
Was the class good value for money? Yes and I would definitely come to another class
What did you do / learn?
Created a pot, learnt when and how to apply water, how to shape, how to prep the clay.
