What you'll do
Get your hands completely messy by throwing a ball of clay on a pottery wheel. It's so much fun! You will be completely mesmerised and captivated when you take a ball of clay, slam it onto the wheel and spin away.
These wheel throwing classes are a great introduction to the craft and skill of throwing pottery pieces on a wheel. Although wheel throwing is a more technical skill, it's absolutely addictive!
During our introduction to wheel throwing classes, we provide hands-on instructions to help guide you through every step of the way.
With each wheely good wheel throwing class (ha, see what we did there?), you’ll receive a demonstration on how to use the pottery wheels, breaking the steps down and walking you through the skill. You'll be gently guided through your own creative process as you learn how to feel and work with the clay while it spins on the wheel.
Soon, you’ll be completely immersed in the whole experience. Time flies by and before you know it, you’ll have created some amazing pieces on the way.
These classes are suitable for ages 11+. We have a total of four wheels in our studio space and can cater to individuals or groups. We are also available for private events and we welcome enquires for your group bookings.

Owner and head teacher, Karina is immensely passionate about creating moments of disconnection to the outside world in order to connect within. As a yoga and meditation teacher, she also brings elements of this into her teaching with clay, inviting in relaxation, stress relief and creativity.
Karina fell in love with clay over three years ago when she attended a hand-building class as a date-night activity with her partner. After completing a three month internship under a master pottery in Sheldon, Brisbane, Karina's even more enthusiastic to sharing this craft with the world.
