What you'll do
In this botanical drawing workshop, you will learn how to create stunningly realistic depictions of botanical subjects using graphite pencils. Whether you're a beginner with little drawing experience or a student looking to develop your skills further, this class is designed to provide a friendly and supportive environment for all.
Throughout the workshop, you will have the opportunity to draw real subjects, allowing you to practice your observational skills and bring your artwork to life. The class will be held in a warm and uplifting environment, ensuring that any fears or uncertainties about drawing are alleviated.
The workshop will span over a duration of 3 hours, starting at 10am and ending at 1.30pm, with a 30-minute break for lunch. During this time, you will be guided through various techniques and approaches to achieve realistic botanical drawings. The materials used will primarily consist of graphite pencils, allowing you to explore different shading and texture effects.
By the end of the workshop, you'll not only have gained valuable knowledge and techniques in botanical drawing, but you'll also have a collection of beautiful drawings to take home and showcase with pride. Whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, this workshop will provide you with the necessary guidance and support to create stunning botanical artwork.

With a wealth of talent EVAH offers workshops and courses in a variety of mediums, ranging from watercolour painting, Acrylic painting, Textile Loom weaving and raffia Weaving, and recently expanding to introduce Clay hand-building workshops. EVAH also offers fun group experiences, including Clay & Rosé and Sip & Paint.
