What you'll do

Experience the wonderful world of felting at Guild of Objects in this unique workshop! It's one of the best things to do in Melbourne for avid crafters. Learn the art of needle felting, also known as dry felting, in this fun and relaxed two-and-a-half-hour workshop.

Create an adorable three dimensional owl in a snug little nest using all-natural woolen materials. By learning needle felting, you will be able to later apply it to make other three dimensional toys and sculptural pieces, opening the door to an exciting new hobby to keep those idle hands busy!

Please note that this class is for making the owls only, and not the pods that they sit in.
This is perfect for beginners and no prior experience is needed. Your teacher Judy Lay is an experienced felter who will share her tips and tricks on the day.

This workshop is run out of a very cool and conveniently located studio in Hardware Lane, Melbourne. There is a maximum of 12 to ensure you get plenty of one on one time with your teacher and have time to chat with the other creatives too.

If you're looking for a relaxed workshop experience look no further! You'll leave with a handcrafted adorable bunch of owls in a nest, some new connections and all the skills to continue this addictive hobby at home.

Please note:
Guild of Objects reserves the right to cancel any scheduled workshop. The reasons this may occur are (a) if a workshop does not reach the minimum number of students or (b) an artist or workshop facilitator falls ill. In the unfortunate circumstance of a workshop being cancelled, students will be notified at least two days before the commencement of the workshop and a credit note will be issued to be used at a later date. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds if the class is cancelled.
