What you'll do
Sip your BYO wine while you create a work of art at our Balmain studio, in Sydney's Inner West.
Join us for an evening of painting with friends or family. Such a great way to relax and enjoy being together! Or have a me date night :)
Our fun wine and paint workshops are a relaxed way to either reconnect with art and your creative side or discover your creativity. Either way bring along your friends, or come alone and meet new people and settle into an afternoon or evening of fun and creativity in our studio.
You will be guided to create your own unique take on the evenings subject. This is not a step by step class where everyone creates a similar image. Our Sip N Paint acknowledges we all see and express ourselves uniquely.
All art materials are supplied and you bring along your refreshments and nibbles

This workshop is an experience for everyone, no artistic experience required. Every participant will have their own twist on what we create.

East Village Art House is a small but industrious art Studio, located in historical Balmain and founded by Heather Hunt.
With a wealth of talent EVAH offers workshops and courses in a variety of mediums, ranging from watercolour painting, Acrylic painting, Textile Loom weaving and raffia Weaving, and recently expanding to introduce Clay hand-building workshops. EVAH also offers fun group experiences, including Clay & Rosé and Sip & Paint.
All this packed into the cutest Art studio in Sydney's Inner West.

The class consisted only of myself and my sister. It was a lovely light open space and Heather Hunt was charming. There was no actual tuition but we were encouraged to use a prior pupil's work as a basis for our painting. I enjoyed the evening.

The class provided excellent materials to work with and allowed freedom of movement and creativity in the room. I am very happy with what I was able to come up with and paint on my canvas with the inspiration posted all around the room as well. The teacher helped all students in need and provided snacks though we were more focused on painting. We were able to draw instead of paint though painting was the most frequently used, so I was able to do line work on my finished painting. I loved the workshop and it was definitely worth while/money/distance. My review photo is of the artwork I completed. Thankyou

A fun and relaxed date night. Heather gave us some artistic guidance and also painted alongside us giving us the freedom to choose our own subject and apply our own interpretation

We really enjoyed the sip and paint class. The teacher Heather was great, she gave good advice and helped when we needed, but let us do our own thing which we really liked.

A refreshing change for a Sip and Paint. We were actually given the option to paint whatever we liked! Heather's a very talented artist yet lets you find your own style. She had a lovely cheeseboard out and there was great conversation and music. Located in such a cute area of Balmain, tons of restaurants and pubs around for a dinner or drink before or after the class. Will definitely be returning. Thanks Heather!

Heather was an amazing teacher and the class was so much fun. It was intimate and personal, and Heather really cared about all of our pieces of art. She was incredibly personable and overall a wonderful person to spend a couple of hours with! The studio was organised and we had more than enough supplies. Heather even set up a cheese and fruit platter for us. In the end, I left with a painting that I love and one that I would never have taken the time/ gathered the supplies to do myself. I have nothing but great things to say!
