What you'll do

Looking for things to do on the NSW Central Coast? Unlock the secrets of how to make candles in this casual and fun candle making workshop from Aroma Shak.

Through step-by-step instructions, demonstrations and hands-on practise, you will learn how to create your own gorgeous and great-smelling candles and soy wax melts. Your friendly and accomplished teacher Lisa, who has been making soy candles and soy wax melts for 15 years, will teach you everything you need to know in a safe and supportive environment.

In this class you will learn:

The benefits of soy wax and why we are using it.
Why it is so important to use the correct size wick.
How to add fragrance oils and colour (optional) the correct way.
Candle safety.

You will leave with an understanding of the basics of soy candle and soy wax creating, and your own completed soy candles and soy wax melts to take home. If you wish to continue practising your new skills at home, DIY kits will be available to purchase after the class. A 10% discount will be given to class attendees on the day.

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a team building activity, birthday, hens party or bucks party.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 6 years old). An adult must accompany any attending kids. The adult may observe at the class for free.

Hi, I'm Lisa from Aroma Shak. I lovingly create natural plant based, aromatherapy skincare products & bath products, i have also created my own essential oil range. I also create beautifully fragranced soy wax candles & soy wax melts.

My handmade journey started 15 years ago. I was very drawn to aromatherapy and the magic of essential oils and started my aromatherapy studies to delve deeper into the magic and healing of the plant world. Through this i discovered my passion for incorporating what i had learnt in my studies and using it to create a naturalskincare range. !
Around the same time i purchased a D.I.Y soy candle making kit - then i was hooked! I have been selling my skincare, candles & melts through markets, shops and more recently online. My products are also used by a local beautician.

Fifteen years on, I still formulate and hand make our eco-luxe natural products. I am now so excited to take the leap and share my passion and knowledge for natural body product creating and of course our soy candle, soy wax melt and diffuser workshops.

My workshops are such a great idea for hen's and bridal shower, birthday parties and team building.

I'm so excited to share my love for handmade with you.
