This class is a small group photo tour travelling from Sydney in executive comfort with three convenient pickup points or you can meet us at the waterfalls. Just one comprehensive great day of photography with other photo enthusiasts to capture stunning nature photography.

During the hands-on class, we will cover:

  • Why use RAW or JPEG capture
  • Lens choice and use of filters
  • Advanced composition techniques
  • Understanding white balance
  • Aperture, Shutter or full manual capture mode
  • Advanced manual techniques
  • How to use your Histogram
  • What is ISO & 'noise'
  • Long exposure water photography
  • How to use a tripod
  • How to use ND filters

Our iconic Gosford waterfalls location offers plenty of options and space to capture nature and landscape photography. You will capture some incredible images with the soft 'cotton effect' of the water using slow shutter speeds and ND filters.

By the end of this photography class, you will have an understanding of advanced composition techniques and the know-how to use foreground and background to give real depth and drama to your photos.

Pick-up locations:
  • Kingsgrove Hotel Carpark - pick-up at 7.15 am - Shaw Street.
  • Strathfield Town Hall - pickup at 7.35 am - 65 Homebush Road.
  • Pymble Station - pick-up at 8 am - outside Aust Post Office.

Knowledge required
Ideal for beginner or intermediate photographers with DSLR or mirrorless camera. Light to Moderate fitness as you will walk uneven surfaces and inclines.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 16 years old). An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.
